How to unlock Tauros in PokeBonk

Tauros joins your League in two steps. First, finish its League challenge; the counters add up across runs unless a goal says "in a single run":

Catching Tauros

Then Tauros can show up as a Wild Encounter in your next runs, 50 to 120 seconds into a zone. It runs away after 150 seconds, so weaken it and throw a Poke Ball before then. The PokeBonk unlock Pokemon guide lists every challenge.

Tauros moves in PokeBonk

Each League Pokemon has a fixed kit of four moves. Move 1 is equipped from the start; moves 2, 3 and 4 are offered as new-move cards at player levels 2, 4 and 7. A run holds three moves until you buy the 4th move slot in the Lab. Hit damage below is the move's base hit at level 1 before your stats, items and type bonus; cooldowns shrink with attack speed.

+15% speed. While running, every 0.5 s you ram the enemies in front of you (2.5 m): damage and a good shove.

Rock Climb and Raging Bull match Tauros's type, so they deal 25% more damage (same-type bonus). Moves can also be learned from its learnset and from other League members of the same type, which the PokeBonk beginner guide explains.

Tauros Ultimate in PokeBonk

Tauros's Ultimate gets stronger as the line evolves: each form has its own version. Press R (Y on a controller) when the bar is full, or turn on Auto Ultimate with the Y key. The PokeBonk Ultimate guide explains how the bar charges.

TaurosStampede2.4 sA herd of five ghost Tauros gallops across the field toward your target: they trample, stun and launch everything they catch into the air. With Maturity the herd is bigger and comes back in a second crossing charge.

Tauros stats in runs

The game turns base stats into run stats with the share of each stat in the base stat total, so a balanced Pokemon and a lopsided one end up with different strengths. Each evolution stage adds 0.12 to the HP and damage multiplier. These are the starting values before Lab upgrades, items and vitamins:

Where Tauros appears as a boss

Besides being playable, Tauros is listed as a boss on the maps: Rocky Desert as a possible zone 3 Totem. Boss HP is budgeted from your own damage per second, so the fight length stays close to the game's targets; the PokeBonk maps page lists every boss slot.
