PokeBonk Tips: 15 Ways to Survive Longer and Score More

PokeBonk tips and tricks to survive longer: movement, which level-up cards to take, chest and shop habits, beating guardians before the swarm, and Stardust.

3 min readLast checked Sources

These PokeBonk tips come from the game's own rules: how armor, crits, luck and the zone timer work in the code. Use them to survive longer and to get more Stardust per run. If you are brand new, start with the PokeBonk guide and how to play PokeBonk.

PokeBonk tips for movement and survival

  • Keep moving in wide circles: standing in one spot lets the horde surround you.
  • Slide (Left Shift) through gaps; the Shed Shell item makes you invulnerable while sliding.
  • Jump over small Pokemon and hold Space to glide; Air Balloon and Silver Wing add extra jumps.
  • Armor cuts damage by armor / (armor + 45), so the first points help most. Evasion caps at 60%.
  • Pick up Oran Berry and heal drops early; Leftovers and Shell Bell carry long runs.

Level-up picks

  • Take your kit moves as they come at levels 2, 4 and 7, then level the strongest one to 8.
  • Crit chance stops helping at 100%, so swap crit items once you get there.
  • Luck raises the odds of Rare and better cards and items: every 100 luck roughly doubles Rare offers.
  • Banish cards you never want so better ones show up; the Lab adds Banish uses.
  • Vitamins in your main damage class (Protein for physical, Calcium for special) scale every move.

Chests, shop and bosses

  • Open chests early: each Poke Ball costs more than the last, so the first ones are cheap.
  • Beat each guardian before 10 minutes; after that the final swarm makes enemies stronger every minute.
  • Guardian HP is set from your own damage per second (about 40, 50, and 60 seconds in zones 1 to 3), so a stronger build does not make bosses longer.
  • Catch Alphas with the Friend Ball for a type bonus all run (PokeBonk Alpha Pokemon).
  • Save your Ultimate for the guardian, or turn on Auto Ultimate with Y (PokeBonk Ultimate).

Weather and types

Weather boosts some types by 30% and weakens others by 25%: rain helps Water and Electric and hurts Fire, scorching sun helps Fire and Grass and hurts Water, sandstorm helps Rock, Ground and Steel. Super effective hits deal more and resisted hits less, and the arrows over enemies show which is which. Type items such as Charcoal add +30% to one type.

Earn more Stardust

Claim daily and weekly tasks every day for the streak bonus, catch shinies (+120 Stardust the first time) and finish permanent quests. PokeBonk Stardust lists every source, and PokeBonk Lab upgrades shows what to buy first.
