PokeBonk Nidoking

Pokemon · Nidoran Male line · last checked 2026-10-20

PokeBonk Nidoking is a Poison and Ground Pokemon that you cannot pick at the start of a run: it is the evolved form of Nidoran Male, a League Pokemon. Play Nidorino and it evolves into Nidoking automatically at player level 42, which raises your HP and damage multiplier to 1.24x. Nidoking keeps the Nidoran Male kit and upgrades the Ultimate to King Earthquake. The line sits in B tier with a Kit Score of 41.4.

How to get Nidoking in PokeBonk

You do not unlock Nidoking directly. First unlock Nidoran Male through its League challenge and catch it; the PokeBonk unlock Pokemon guide lists the conditions. Then pick Nidoran Male for a run and level up: evolution in a run depends only on your player level, not on stones or trades, so Nidoking arrives at level 42.

Each stage adds 0.12 to your HP and damage multiplier, so an evolved form hits harder and takes more hits than the Pokemon you started with. An Eviolite helps until the last stage. See PokeBonk evolution for every line.

Nidoking moves and passive

Nidoking uses the same four-move kit as Nidoran Male; evolving does not swap moves. Its passive is Rivalry: +10% damage and +25% against elites, Alphas and bosses.

Nidoking Ultimate

At this stage the Ultimate is King Earthquake, lasting 2.6 seconds: Three stomps: each one a bigger earthquake and three poisonous fissures ahead; the last one, a Megahorn. The PokeBonk Ultimate guide explains how to charge it faster.

Nidoking evolution levels in PokeBonk

In PokeBonk every evolution happens by player level inside a run, whatever the main games ask for. The Nidoran Male line evolves like this: Nidoran Male evolves into Nidorino at level 24 and Nidorino evolves into Nidoking at level 42.

Nidoking stats in runs

The game turns base stats into run stats with the share of each stat in the base stat total, so a balanced Pokemon and a lopsided one end up with different strengths. Each evolution stage adds 0.12 to the HP and damage multiplier. These are the starting values before Lab upgrades, items and vitamins:

Where Nidoking appears as a boss

Besides being playable, Nidoking is listed as a boss on the maps: Viridian Forest as a possible zone 3 guardian and Rocky Desert as a possible zone 2 Summoner and a possible zone 3 Summoner. Boss HP is budgeted from your own damage per second, so the fight length stays close to the game's targets; the PokeBonk maps page lists every boss slot.
