How to unlock Magikarp in PokeBonk
Magikarp joins your League in two steps. First, finish its League challenge; the counters add up across runs unless a goal says "in a single run":
- Complete 25 runs (win or lose).
Catching Magikarp
Then Magikarp can show up as a Wild Encounter in your next runs, 50 to 120 seconds into a zone. It runs away after 150 seconds, so weaken it and throw a Poke Ball before then. The PokeBonk unlock Pokemon guide lists every challenge.
Magikarp moves in PokeBonk
Each League Pokemon has a fixed kit of four moves. Move 1 is equipped from the start; moves 2, 3 and 4 are offered as new-move cards at player levels 2, 4 and 7. A run holds three moves until you buy the 4th move slot in the Lab. Hit damage below is the move's base hit at level 1 before your stats, items and type bonus; cooldowns shrink with attack speed.

+60% experience. With it, it reaches a fearsome evolution before anyone else (Lv. 40).

In PokeBonk every evolution happens by player level inside a run, whatever the main games ask for. The Magikarp line evolves like this: Magikarp evolves into Gyarados at level 36. Magikarp's Perseverance passive gives +60% experience, so it reaches Gyarados sooner than the level suggests.
Magikarp stats in runs
The game turns base stats into run stats with the share of each stat in the base stat total, so a balanced Pokemon and a lopsided one end up with different strengths. Each evolution stage adds 0.12 to the HP and damage multiplier. These are the starting values before Lab upgrades, items and vitamins:
