PokeBonk Haunter
Pokemon · Gastly line · last checked 2026-10-20
PokeBonk Haunter is a Ghost and Poison Pokemon that you cannot pick at the start of a run: it is the evolved form of Gastly, a League Pokemon. Play Gastly and it evolves into Haunter automatically at player level 30, which raises your HP and damage multiplier to 1.12x. Haunter keeps the Gastly kit and upgrades the Ultimate to Shadowy Hands. The line sits in A tier with a Kit Score of 51.2.

How to get Haunter in PokeBonk
You do not unlock Haunter directly. First unlock Gastly through its League challenge and catch it; the PokeBonk unlock Pokemon guide lists the conditions. Then pick Gastly for a run and level up: evolution in a run depends only on your player level, not on stones or trades, so Haunter arrives at level 30.
Each stage adds 0.12 to your HP and damage multiplier, so an evolved form hits harder and takes more hits than the Pokemon you started with. An Eviolite helps until the last stage. See PokeBonk evolution for every line.
Haunter moves and passive
Haunter uses the same four-move kit as Gastly; evolving does not swap moves. Its passive is Ghost: You plow through the horde: -20% damage taken and +10% evasion.
| Slot | Move | Type | Class | Shape | Unlocks |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Lick | Ghost | Physical | Strike | Start |
| 2 | Night Shade | Ghost | Special | Homing | Level 2 |

Haunter Ultimate
At this stage the Ultimate is Shadowy Hands, lasting 2 seconds: Fourteen shadow hands burst from the ground beneath the enemies, grab them (root) and curse them. The PokeBonk Ultimate guide explains how to charge it faster.
Haunter evolution levels in PokeBonk
In PokeBonk every evolution happens by player level inside a run, whatever the main games ask for. The Gastly line evolves like this: Gastly evolves into Haunter at level 30 and Haunter evolves into Gengar at level 42.
Haunter stats in runs
The game turns base stats into run stats with the share of each stat in the base stat total, so a balanced Pokemon and a lopsided one end up with different strengths. Each evolution stage adds 0.12 to the HP and damage multiplier. These are the starting values before Lab upgrades, items and vitamins:
| Form | Stage | Max HP | Armor | Speed | Physical | Special | Damage |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gastly | 0 | 96 | 5.5 | 1.11x | 0.96x | 1.21x | 1x |
| Haunter | 1 | 112 | 6.4 | 1.09x | 0.97x | 1.16x | 1.12x |
| Gengar | 2 | 127 | 7 | 1.08x | 0.98x | 1.13x | 1.24x |
