How to unlock Grimer in PokeBonk

Grimer joins your League in two steps. First, finish its League challenge; the counters add up across runs unless a goal says "in a single run":

Catching Grimer

Then Grimer can show up as a Wild Encounter in your next runs, 50 to 120 seconds into a zone. It runs away after 150 seconds, so weaken it and throw a Poke Ball before then. The PokeBonk unlock Pokemon guide lists every challenge.

Grimer moves in PokeBonk

Each League Pokemon has a fixed kit of four moves. Move 1 is equipped from the start; moves 2, 3 and 4 are offered as new-move cards at player levels 2, 4 and 7. A run holds three moves until you buy the 4th move slot in the Lab. Hit damage below is the move's base hit at level 1 before your stats, items and type bonus; cooldowns shrink with attack speed.

Grimer passive: Muddy Body

-15% damage taken. When hit, you leave a toxic puddle for 4 s that poisons and traps anyone who steps in it. Like Muk, the puddles are bigger.

Poison Gas, Sludge, and Belch match Grimer's type, so they deal 25% more damage (same-type bonus). Moves can also be learned from its learnset and from other League members of the same type, which the PokeBonk beginner guide explains.

Grimer Ultimate in PokeBonk

Grimer's Ultimate gets stronger as the line evolves: each form has its own version. Press R (Y on a controller) when the bar is full, or turn on Auto Ultimate with the Y key. The PokeBonk Ultimate guide explains how the bar charges.

GrimerSludge Tide1.8 sA wave of mud spreads out from you in a circle up to 14 m, poisons everyone and leaves toxic puddles.
MukGulp2.8 sYou melt into a giant 9 m puddle that pulls in, poisons and traps for 2 s, and bursts into mud geysers.

Grimer evolution levels in PokeBonk

In PokeBonk every evolution happens by player level inside a run, whatever the main games ask for. The Grimer line evolves like this: Grimer evolves into Muk at level 45.

Grimer stats in runs

The game turns base stats into run stats with the share of each stat in the base stat total, so a balanced Pokemon and a lopsided one end up with different strengths. Each evolution stage adds 0.12 to the HP and damage multiplier. These are the starting values before Lab upgrades, items and vitamins:
