PokeBonk Charizard

Pokemon · Charmander line · last checked 2026-10-20

PokeBonk Charizard is a Fire and Flying Pokemon that you cannot pick at the start of a run: it is the evolved form of Charmander, a League Pokemon. Play Charmeleon and it evolves into Charizard automatically at player level 44, which raises your HP and damage multiplier to 1.24x. Charizard keeps the Charmander kit and upgrades the Ultimate to Giga Blaze. The line sits in C tier with a Kit Score of 27.2.

How to get Charizard in PokeBonk

You do not unlock Charizard directly. Charmander is a starter, so you can play the line from your first run. Then pick Charmander for a run and level up: evolution in a run depends only on your player level, not on stones or trades, so Charizard arrives at level 44.

Each stage adds 0.12 to your HP and damage multiplier, so an evolved form hits harder and takes more hits than the Pokemon you started with. An Eviolite helps until the last stage. See PokeBonk evolution for every line.

Charizard moves and passive

Charizard uses the same four-move kit as Charmander; evolving does not swap moves. Its passive is Sea of Flames: Below 40% HP, +40% damage. +10% Fire damage.

Charizard Ultimate

At this stage the Ultimate is Giga Blaze, lasting 3 seconds: Fourteen fireballs rain down on the enemies and it all ends in an enormous explosion with magma cracks. The PokeBonk Ultimate guide explains how to charge it faster.

Charizard evolution levels in PokeBonk

In PokeBonk every evolution happens by player level inside a run, whatever the main games ask for. The Charmander line evolves like this: Charmander evolves into Charmeleon at level 24 and Charmeleon evolves into Charizard at level 44.

Charizard stats in runs

The game turns base stats into run stats with the share of each stat in the base stat total, so a balanced Pokemon and a lopsided one end up with different strengths. Each evolution stage adds 0.12 to the HP and damage multiplier. These are the starting values before Lab upgrades, items and vitamins:

Where Charizard appears as a boss

Besides being playable, Charizard is listed as a boss on the maps: Volcano Island as the listed zone 3 boss (map not open in Season 1). Boss HP is budgeted from your own damage per second, so the fight length stays close to the game's targets; the PokeBonk maps page lists every boss slot.
